About Me

Based in Western Washington, I spend my free time enjoying photographing in our natural areas, taking family and pet portraits, wildlife and, landscapes as well as our travel destinations. Taking your picture is my honor to show you in the best way that captures your personality while projecting honesty and trust using posing techniques, professional equipment, and professional lighting. The portraits I take outside in our area have the most special look combining the scenic landscape of Washington with mobile lighting on you for dramatic images with authentic sincere honest expressions. Your business or your home serve for professional/personal headshots and raining day portraits. Customers that want good calm professional service chose me to capture life's highlights.

It is literally my job to meet your professional expectations, do all the preparation and planning and make you look your best. This is accomplished from my past work experience, education and by having professional and portable studio lighting, backdrops and equipment. My lighting includes studio and portable strobes, LED panels, reflectors, and may use a combination of all light sources in your session. Your photos are enhanced for color, contrast, exposure, and sharpness to ensure each image with a professional touch. All final images you chose receive your choice of advertisement-quality retouching, including subtle enhancements for skin, hair, teeth, clothing, and more. My goal is to ensure your vision and give you the same lasting memories as I give my own family.

Where I Got Started

My love and focus on photography started as a child observing my grandfather taking our family pictures. About age 8, I received my first camera for Christmas which accompanied me on a trip up Mt. Washington and to Yellowstone National Park. What I saw, inspired me to document and share the splendor of nature. I treat these early and other life experiences as the reason for my joy of photography to focus on and a lifelong passion for scenic photographs.

I took two years of photography classes in high school. After graduation, I further improved my skills practicing with landscapes and travel photography. I spent a few years in front of the camera modeling and acting giving me the understanding of posing and creative light. My craft was honed over thousands of images of agility dogs, rodeos, soccer, portraiture and documenting our family life. Our two kids became my top subjects to photograph outside in our scenic area furthering my skills. It has been these and other images that got me started in developing meaningful relationships with clients to document their images.
